secure deleting of one operation system from pc

    hi on my server there are two operating system one is win2000 professional and another is winxp professinal now i want to delete win200o professinal operation system win2000 is on c drive fat32 and winxp is on d drive ntfs.
    now i want to finishing win2000 operating system to make computer faster and less programmes
    so what i do how to deleted win2000 partitaion and i recover as back but it's runing on c drive and winxp which in d drive i want to use that want how is it possible operation sytem work on d not necessary c
    give me in details
    because it's my main server if anything happen i'll go headache thanx for detail in reply in advance :D

    You can simply delete the WINNT folder from C: and modify c:\boot.ini to remove the line(s) that refer to the 2K load. If you have a Documents & Settings folder on D: that has all your account information, you can delete the one from C:.

    The files XP needs to load are all located in C:\ and won't be affected.

    If you want to run XP from the C: drive you can do that as well but it's not nearly as simple and probably not worth doing.
