Since switching to SeaMonkey I keep finding little things that don't work for me. When I highlight a word or phrase in a web page and right click on it and choose Search Web for **** nothing happens. Works OK in Moz Suite. I have google set as search preference and googlebar installed. Any ideas on where to look?

You are not saying which Seamonkey, nor, exactly how you did it.
I tested in Seamonkey1.0.7 and 1.1. I highlighted a word, right clicked, and selected Search Web for xxxx, and my Google search came up. Then, I did highlight another one, i.e.Gov.Heineman , and I got the search.
I noticed that not all words or phrases could be highlighted, but if they were, I got the Search.
I don't have the Google bar, but I don't think that it should matter.

I am using Seamonkey 1.1 and I highlight a word or phrase and right click on it and select web search--nothing happens.

Using SM 1.1 here and when I highlight a word and the "Search Google" comes up, if I click on that option it definitely opens the Google search and gives me what I'm looking for. It sounds like your installation is problematic in some way.

Could it be that your Googlebar is the culprit? Try disabling and see if you can complete a search by highlighting text. I don't have Googlebar and search works perfectly for me with Google as my default search engine.

I think I have found the culprit, I have always have used Tabbrowser extension with no problems with my Mozilla Suite. I had installed it with Seamonkey 1.1 and never thought of it--uninstalled it and things were back to normal. With the extension in the Suite everything worked. I have since reinstalled the Tabbrowser and will live without the context search. Thanks a bunch.
