Ok Iam in Morocco. When I enter any search terms in the google box it opens a new tab and tries to go to google.com. I end up with a blank page. If I edit the address bar and replace .com with .co.uk I get the results displayed correctly. I wish to use google.co.uk all the time. I did follow some instuctions earlier which is how I reached the current position. I have got a new laptop and I am trying to get it the same as my old laptop which used google.co.uk as the search engine. If I could remember how I did that I could maybe replicate it but I can't.

    In address bar type in:
    about:config
    Hit Enter.

    In "Filter" field, type in:
    keyword.URL
    Modify its value to:
    Code:
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=

Thanks for the info. That looked like what I had there already. I copied yours in anyway. I then restarted firefox and it still goes to google.com. Any further thoughts?
