Need help figuring this out. When trying to go to a serach page ( ie: yahoo.com, google.com) I am having something strange happen. After entering the address and hitting enter, it changes to ...............................http://? yahoo.com and of course the page will not load. This is only happening on pages like Yahoo and Google. I have updated IE6 with service pack 1 and still no fix. Also I have run Ad-Aware and no help there either. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Nowadays it's necessary to have several programs in addition to a firewall and an antivirus. You need adaware and spybot, and I suspect your problem is in that catagory.

If after updating and running the latest versions of those, you still have the problem, please download and run hijackthis, save the log and, following these directions, paste it into a message here.

You should download Spybot, CWShredder, HijackThis and Adaware from the Quicklinks page, the link is below.
First use CWShredder, with the Fix Option. Reboot.
Update both Spybot and Adaware before scanning. Let Adaware remove the entries it finds, let Spybot remove everything already checked off.
Then create a log using HijackThis and post it on here.
