I usually install SM from the zip file. Everytime I do it I have a problem with the startup getting to the correct profile. After I click on SM.exe it opens with a PR screen that I do not know how to deal with. Do I close it and expect to find another SM screen? Someone please give me exact instructions on how to start SM up from the zip file so it picks up the old profile. Am I supposed to delete the default profile that usually comes up? I know I have written about this before but am still confused about what to do. Thanks for your help.

This is from Ramona's website: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns7bypassprofilemgr.html
It applies to Seamonkey, as well. And, all the programs use profiles stored in the same parent folder.
It is best to create a profile , just, for Seamonkey, and then add the name to the Target area. I am using NS7.2, and SM1.1.4 this way, and, neither one uses the default profile. Leave it alone, but copy vital files like bookmarks.html, and paste it in the new profile.
