"SeaMonkey" will be the new name for Mozilla Application Suite.

Earlier this March, Mozilla.org announced that Mozilla Application Suite would no longer being maintained by Mozilla.org (transition plan).

    Recently, Mozilla.org announced that:
A quick history about the names:
"Mozilla" was the original code name for Netscape Navigator (browser). In 1998, Netscape decided to release it's source code and founded Mozilla.org, the application was called Mozilla. Later, they adopted the name "Mozilla Suite" to reduce the confusing. When Firefox gained strong attention, the name "Mozilla Suite" became "Mozilla Application Suite ", "Mozilla" is still commonly used.
And code name "SeaMonkey" or SeaMonkey Project has been used to refer to "Mozilla" (Suite) by Mozilla.org.

Nightly in zip format are available. Seamonkey1.0a is worth getting in that format if nothing else to see the ridiculous and endearing splash screen.
I find it rock solid as browser and mail, but I don't want it installed, and I used a different profile. Being based on 1.8b2, it may not be compatible with any extention of interest to me.
