I have an unusual problem. I will not go into details, but I have Seamonkeys as unzipped files. Yes, more than one, and each with a different profile.
No, I am not interested in collecting Seamonkeys, but I doing this because of a never seen before problem.
Having unzipped files, I do not find it necessary to remove the old ones, so I happen to have still an old one with no problems using the same profile as the new one.
The problem is not so easy to detect. It is only with Mail. And, probably one would have to have multiple accounts, as I do, to detect. I get and send mail, with no difficulty, but going to the setting shows the problem. All accounts are listed, but only one of them shows all the options, like Server settings, Composition, etc. There is nothing available to expand. I tried to remove the account, and add it back, to no avail. And, another profile works the same way. Since these profiles existed before, and had all the correct settings, there is apparent problem. Most likely, a pristine profile would not allow me to do anything with the server settings, or is only one account ok. I may or may not care to answer that question.
There is only one obvious difference between the old and new unzipped file. Both chrome and components folder are smaller in the new unzipped file, by nearly 2 MB total. The Chrome folder is interchangeable, but the component folder when "borrowed" from the old file, does not allow Seamonkey to go past the splash screen.
To make a long story shot, has anyone noticed a case when one would not see all selections of a mail account. As for the differences, the new file has 24 fewer files in the component folder. I doubt that I could find out what is missing, when dealing with nearly 300 files.
I am ok, so don't worry about this. It is just strange.

Thanks Capt. It looks like it. So, I will stick to the 2-10 build. What in the world have they done, though. It was fine till 2-10, and from the 2-13 on, I has been the same way. And, along the way the size of the two folder, mentioned above went down. It looks like something was forgotten along the way.
This is a very interesting bug.

It must contagious! I noticed the same problem in Netscape7.2, which I have still around, but rarely use. But, none of the accounts which could not be customized were from my ISP, and two of four were from freePOPs set ups.

Things are back to normal with tonight's nightly (10-25-2006).
The problem had persisted, at least from 2-13 to 2-22. I will have to keep checking, but, today, I was able to see the mail settings of all account, since the 2-10 build.
