Seamonkey: Freezing problems with latest version, 2.49.5

    Latest version, 2.49.5 of Seamonkey using Windows 10 -
    I am having trouble with 2.49.5 becoming sluggish & freezing frequently. It seems to be touchier than previous updates. I've used SM since shortly after it's release. I few years ago I had trouble with the latest update and used an earlier version for some time with great success but can't remember which number it was. I think it was in the 1.8's and running on Windows 7.

    Has someone found a previous version which is more stable using Windows 10 or have fix suggestions?
    My requirements are very basic.
