    Seamonkey Email:
Somehow goofy versions of Email addresses have installed themselves. I cannot get rid of them. They do not appear in the 3 Address books but come up when I enter the first few letters of a name.

    Examples:
    Walter Meyer < "Walter Meyer <meyer_w_e "@yahoo.com>>
    "Walter Meyer <\ "\ "Walter Meyer \ ">" <meyer_w_e\ "@yahoo.com>

    Real address is:
    Walter Meyer <meyer_w_e@yahoo.com>

    Also:
How do I get my reply to begin above the Email I'm answering.

    Thank you-
    Carl

This setting has been around forever. While in Mail, Edit|Mail and Newsgroup accounts|in each account go to Composition and Addressing. The second setting is, by default: below, just go to the dropdown (on the right side), and select above. I have no idea why it is default, the way it is. No saner than seeing all old messages first, and having to scroll to the bottom to see the most recent.
As for the funny e-mail, it must be coming out of somewhere. I checked mine, and I have never seen anything like you describe. I am using SeaMonkey 2.8.

    Thank you,
I've been using SeaMonkey from its beginnings. This installation on a Window's 7 PC was a hurry-up job.

I wonder if the goofy addresses have something to with 7?

Thanks for the solution for Reply placement.
    Carl
