I will keep my fingers crossed. I had tried 1.1.8 RC, and, within two days it did what other profiles did before, i.e. not give the URL of the existing page, if it was the left most Tab.

Can someone delete this? I got a duplicate.

    Fulvio,

I was never able to replicate your "URL - tab" problem in any SM,so far 1.1.8 final is working as it should.

    Capt,
I know that very few people have been able to replicate the problem. In fact, I know of only two other fellows,on e of them being the developer of Skypilot, and other Themes. He found that it was associated with the Modern Theme, upon which his Themes are based. But, why is the problem there, for a a few, and, in my case not in the preliminary builds? May be the nightlies, but two of them did the same. Anyway, I downloaded the .zip final version, and used it first with the Classic theme. Then, I changed to the Modern, using the same profile as before. Of course, it works:D (once.it is back to square one. Since I am using tabs
I can't use the first one. Its URL persists, so I can go back to it, but pressing Enter, but I don't know what other sites are. I am supposed to be able to open another Tab, but it does not, for now).

Someone at mozillazine.org suggested incompatibility with an extention, so I had to remove all seven of them. When I was done, tabs worked fine, and started adding them back, one at a time. Somewhere in the middle, I found out that old reliable Mr Tech Local Install was the culprit. I am using two different profiles, and the second worked fine after uninstalling the extention.
I have been using the Extention Uninstaller and its .api to aid me in removing extentions, but there are a lot of leftovers. So, problem solved. I don't need Mr Tech, anyway. And, I am looking forward at Seamonkey2.0, more than even, because it has a Firefox/Thunderbird-like add-on manager.
