I have (2) DORS-32160 IBM SCSI3 hard drives they have what appear to be a male connector, next I have a SCSI connector on my MB (ASUS) which is a 68 pin Ultra 160 connector
but the two don't go together, the SCSI connector on the ribbon cable appears to be slightly smaller than on the drives.
I've lived a sheltered IDE life , what sort of adapter do I need?

    TIA

Having recently bought a used similar sounding SCSI (see my post), it sounds like an 80-pin Ultra connection. There are adaptors for these to your controller, I believe.

    thanks

solved the problem by buying new hard drives, but then the MB turned out to be junk anyway, so now I wait on boss to buy new MB and I begin again : )
