Scrrun.dll missing was my problem with IE6. Replaced the file, reinstalled IE6SP1 and I'm up and running. My question is: how can a file become missing? Please advise. Thanks for your time.

Probably not missing - more likely corrupted and was not being seen at all. It is a Microsoft Script Runtime library file.

For future reference running System File Checker would probably have fixed the problem by replacing the file from the dll cache or the i386 folder.

Why corrupted - well that's anyone's guess - it happens very occasionally.

Thanks for the info. Currently I am troubled with, at times, with a freeze IE6SP1. Occurs when I "close" a URL. . Requiring a Ctrl,Alt,Del. Repair tool runs A-okay. Please advise. Thanks for your time.

    Moving this to IE
