    Hello,

I have an HP (first generation) All-in-One Computer (touch screen - which I've disabled) running WIndows 7, IE8 and Microsoft Office 2010. The scrollbars in IE move up and down by themselves. In the applications, the printer dialog box won't stop scrolling so I can choose a printer. Even the volume control moves up and down and I cannot change the date and time because those scrollbars keep moving.

I thought it might be my wireless mouse and keyboard (corrupt drivers) so I uninstalled the drivers and re-installed them, but to no avail. I thought it might be Windows Media Centre, so I downloaded the latest version of that for Windows 7, but still the problem persists.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks, Paul

    Try a different mouse.

Try removing the batteries from the mouse. If the problem goes away then it's the mouse that's at fault.

If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the receiver (if that's possible on your computer). If that cures the problem it's either the receiver or you are suffering interference.

Does the problem affect all applications? I would have thought it would be very hard to read a lot of web pages if they were scrolling uncontrollably.
