    Windows Server 2003

How can I disable the following messages:
"Scripts are usualy safe, do you want to allow scripts to run? "

    and

"Do you want to allow software such as ActiveX Controls and plug-ins to run? "

    Thanks, Dinu

dinuA--The first message can be due to many possible sources.
    http://www.google.com/search?source...:en&q="+do+you+want+to+allow+scripts+to+run?"
Note the possibility of a KAK worm.
What are you doing when you get that message?
The second message can be a little more straight forward. It usually means just what it says. The site wants to use ActiveX controls. Try clicking it off. If you see the site (or all the important parts) then keep clicking the message off. If however, the site does not work or important parts are not visible, you must make a choice whether to allow ActiveX controls to run or not use the site. If you trust the site, the easiest way to allow ActiveX controls to run is to put the URL of the site into Trusted Sites. (Uncheck the "Require Server Verification..." box at the bottom.)
Note that Windows Update is one such site.

    P.S.
I do not know and do not think it would be a good idea, anyway. The messages are for your protection in most cases. And you cannot turn it off for individual sites.

"Scripts are usually safe" - problem solved

Many thanks Welshjim for your prompt answer.

Luckily it was not the KAK worm.
The mentioned messages appear in Internet Explorer 6. On this server we browse almost exclusively Microsoft sites, and it is on these sites where we get those messages, sometimes more than 10 times per page, which is annoying.
We found the solution in http://officebeta.iponet.net/en-us/help/HP010407641033.aspx:

"Script (script: A type of computer code used to perform tasks on Web pages, such as incrementing a "number of visitors" counter each time there is a new visitor. Web scripts can be written in several script languages. Scripts do not need to be compiled to be run.) is required for some parts of Office Online to work properly. If script is not enabled in your browser, you will not be able to access some parts of the site and some content may not appear, such as Clip Art and Media. Additionally, without script enabled you may not be able to access premium content on Microsoft Office Online even if you have Microsoft Office 2003 installed on your computer.

To enable script in Internet Explorer 5.01 or later
On the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
Under the Security tab, click the Internet Web content zone.
    Do one of the following:
To use the default security setting (Medium), which allows script, click Default Level.
To turn on script without changing other security settings, click Custom Level. In the Settings list, scroll down to Active scripting and click Enable. "

    Thanks again,
    Dinu
