it's from "The Scripting Guys" who generally make for a good read...

(I wanted to have a go at scripting a year or two back - the Scriptomatic thing - but with W98 I ground to a halt - it can work, but not without a bit from a more recent version of Windows)

Did lots of reading up at the time though - kept going largely due to the writing style, which makes quite a breath of fresh air compared to most Microsoft pages.
