I Frequently see annoying 'dialog boxes' titled "Internet Explorer Script Error" on some of my OE e-mails. (I am Not allowed to Copy the message details.)

These messages always include the words, "An error has occured on the script on this page" AND "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" Clicking the "NO" button usually make the 'error box' disappear, temporarily.

These "Script Error" boxes Only appear on 'messages' I have copied from a Web Page! They appear on the "draft copy" and later on the "sent copy ".
No one has ever mentioned receiving "script errors" on these 'web page copies' that I have sent to them!

Are there Any settings I can change or set to Permanantly prevent these "Script Errors" from occuring??

Thanks for Any help and suggestions.... Dale Heath

    Dale,

    I suspect that .....

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Check 'Disable script debugging' (4th line down inder browsing) might solve your problem.

Also, if it's checked, uncheck the line that says display a notification about every script error. 6th line down under browsing.

Thanks, PeteC and Zander, for your quick replies, but I Checked and Unchecked your suggestions Many Months ago to No avail !

A "computer expert'/bartender at dinner this evening said, "that can't be fixed!, because the web page you have Copied contains some kind of 'link' to that web page that your browser doesn't recognize!" (or something like that!)
    Is my "bartender expert" Correct???

Need more information to offer any reasonable guess (or a fix if we are lucky).

    - XP-home or XP-Pro? SP1?
    - Latest IE/OE versions including all patches?
    - Just a problem from the one web page?
    - Does anyone else have the same problem or can others copy/paste/send without the script errors?
    - Click on start~run then put in eventvwr.msc and OK. Look for error or warning events that might have been triggered by the error. If you find any, open it/them, click on the icon below the up/down arrows (sends a text copy to your clipboard) and paste the contents in a reply on this thread.
