Screensaver problem in win98

    Please help te screen saver gives me an illegal operation when I set the grafieks higher than 16 color and 640*480 help please :confused:

    Check your graphics drivers. Are there any errors in Device Manager for your graphics?

    That is the thing the drivers seem to be working fine its just the screensavers where the problem is when I choose a Screen saver it says it has perfored an illigal opperation. confused: and I mean any screen saver

    If these are the standard and not third party screensavers try going into Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs> Windows Setup tab and remove the screensavers. Reboot and then go back to Windows Setup and reinstall them. You will need your Win98 CD.

    Nope Didn't work the funny thing I saw the theme Screensavers Work Fine to be exact all of the standerd win98 screensavers work but the 3d ones :eek:

    Got it Thanks win98's 3d ScreenSavers need DirectX At A high Resolution an High color quality this is the first time this has happend to me thanks agen
