The screen's a little too dark. I've adjusted the controls on the monitor (CTX 17 ") as much as they'll go. Are there any "internal" controls in the PC that might lighten things up a bit?

    'preciate it!

There may be depending on the type of monitor and video card installed in your system. I have a Gateway FPD1520 Flat Screen with a Nvidia Video Card. I can adjust the brightness and contrast from the monitors front panel as well as from within Display Properties.

To see if you have such an option right click on the desktop, select Properties from the menu, click the Settings Tab and then the Advanced button.

    HTH. :)

    Schazamm!!!

Thanks, Rob. It worked great. Years ago we old guys could could adjust the "contrast" and the "brightness" controls on our TV's. It's nice to know they're still there, if you know where to look...
