screen size changes

Hello,
Recenlty, upon start up, windows me has changed my default screen size to 640X480. And, display settings won't let me change it back, the slider is frozen.

Any ideas?

Re-installing your drivers would be a good place to start.

 

Your description suggests that you do not have the correct video card driver at this point.

To see if this is correct check to see what video card Windows thinks it is working with. If it is not correct:

Try re-installing the original or updated video driver that is appropriate for your video card. That should help.

If Windows reports the correct model of video card and yet refuses to give you anything but basic vanilla 16 color? resolution limited to 640x480 -you may still want to reinstall as above.

If you try to find a new driver be sure it is described as being compatible w your Win ME.
