I didn't get a response to this question the first time I posted it. Since the issue still exists I am reposting the original:

While my computer is in standby mode, music from my screen saver 3D Dolphins from Freeze.com continues to play in a loop. Only the Screen savers from Freeze.com do this. :(

Nothing is seriously wrong with the system; it is annoying. As a precaution, I have run Zone Alarm Virus/Spyware Security Suite v 7.0.470.000 and Spybot Search and Destroy v 1.5.1.15 latest update. I didn't run them at the same time. Both report back no presence of spyware, adware or any viii. (The Latin Plural of Virus) :)

I would like to get to the bottom as to why the Screen saver music still plays while my PC is in standby. I've looked in Microsoft's KB; I haven't found anything that can help. I am eager to hear from someone who has had a similar problem. What did you do to fix it? Is there a workaround?

    Thank you.

When the system enters Standby, it goes into a sleep mode. I expect that the CPU is running a "loop" because it is not being supplied with any more data to process. I might expect that combining a music playing screen saver with Standby is probably going to cause it happening anyway.

Unfortunately, some screensavers are poorly written. Check if there are any FAQs at Freeze.com. If it is a free s/s, you may not be able to expect any Support. Check the information you agree to when you install it, you may be agreeing to installing some type of "monitoring program ". Since you agree to the installation, it can't be classified as malware.

If you started adjusting settings to stop the music, you may make Standby unstable.

If I am asked to check a machine that has problems and it has a third party screen saver, I advise to uninstall it immediately.:(

I wouldn't want to run a screen saver that includes Adware. This is from their Licence Agreement:
