Screen Saver not function properly

Occasionally screen saver won’t come on automatically. Been this way since day one. Windows XP PRO….

Most likely the PC is doing something the screensaver piece thinks is user activity so it doesn't start.

I know this isn't very specific or helpful but you will need more info. Check your event logs for possible entries that might give you a clue.

You might also try setting a different delay time for the thing to start and see if that helps. No idea why but it sometimes does.

I constantly toggle mine from 3 minutes to 4 minutes. I don't know why, but it "sticks ", too. I have a QL icon directly to it for when my kids burst in and I'm doing something private. I'll tell you how to do that if you want to know.

I was having the same problem plus other display problems. ( with the BBS no less )

Come time to get down and dirty and check into things it was the SS itself that was causing the problem.

Since I changed the SS a couple of hours ago the problem(s) have seemed to be gone.

If that works out OK I will try it
I can run system restore & it works OK for about two weeks. Been doing this for two years.
