My wife and I are both user administrators, we both have a user site.
When i download new software such as the epson cx5000, it downloads perfectly on my wife's site and everything works. BUT,on my site everything but the scanner works, the scanner driver update will not take no matter how many times I try. the scanner driver update is 19.13MB.
I'm new at this and I posted this already, but somehow it was listed as a private message??? I apologize,-- with some practice and a little help I'll get better

scanner driver update for CX5000 All-in-One

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

how can i get my scanner driver for my epson cx5000 ALL-in-One Printer to take the update on my user site. My wife's site works perfectly-everything on my site works also--except the scanner window will not open--the 19.13MB update will not take no matter how many times I download it. I think I saw a fix in the FAQ log, but I don't know how to apply it--also saw an interesting paragraph in troubleshooting
    Thanks: JD

    Hello jdhammel,

I combined your earlier post with your latest one. One of the rules here is not to double post.
Perhaps it would help for you to quote the relevant FAQ lines and someone here can guide you.

No problem JD - I understand you're new at this as we all were at one time.

    About the FAQ:

Highlight the passages that you want to include in your next post under the thread you started by using the mouse:

Hold down the left mouse button starting at the beginning of the text and continuing to hold the left mouse button, move the mouse to the end of the text you want to include.

Then, once the text is highlighted, right click and choose Copy. This will put the highlighted text into the computer's memory known as the ClipBoard.

Then you should transfer the text to Wordpad. Bring up Wordpad: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Wordpad and right click and Paste. Then close the Wordpad Document. It'll ask whether to save > yes > then name it and should save to My Documents. This way you can call it up again.

When you want to include the text into your post, highlight the text as above, and copy and paste into the post.
