I recently purchased a used HP 6100c scanner for my PC running Windows XP. Unknown to me at the time I bought it, it came with documentation and a floppy for the Macintosh. I have already downloaded a PC driver for it but am wondering if I need to do anything else.

No, I've been a little reluctant to do that. The scanner has connectors labeled SCSI and that's a Mac term so I'm holding off.
Would I just install a cable between the SCSI connector and the parallel port on my PC?

SCSI is an "interface" term. It requires that you have to have a SCSI controller installed in your pc....The controller card will cost more then a new "USB" scanner.

    Sven,
That's where I got this one. Unfortunatly the seller never mentioned that it was for a Macintosh. Guess he''ll be getting it back.
