I installed a copier in our office that can perform "scan to email" and it works fine for addresses on our domain but emails sent outside never make the destination. Where should I be looking for the fix? (copier or network)

The answer depends how it is set up.
    • If the printer is set up to send all e-mail via your mail server, then the problem is likely to be at the mail server. I'd start by checking that you've set a "from" address. It may be worth creating an e-mail account for the printer and setting this as the default from address on the printer.
    • If the printer e-mails out directly, it is probably a connection to the internet problem. First thing I would check is that you have set up a default gateway setting on the printer, so that it knows where the internet is. Then check your DNS settings.
If this doesn't get you anywhere, posting make and model of printer might help us give better suggestions.
