    Hello All.

I went to do a Scan Disk yesterday and it is missing? How can that be?

I went to Help and Support, Clicked on Tools and it wasn't there....Disk Clean Up and Disk Defragementor are.

So I checked under Programs>Accessories>System Tools.....and it wasn't there either.

Any ideas...am I looking in the wrong place.....I searched help and it is not even referenced in there.

This is a single user computer....with a NTFS HD.

    Thanks so much

Scandisk was replaced in XP by Chkdsk - for more info on this command see either Help & Support or here

    Basically go .....

Start > Run > chkdsk /r - if the disk you wish to check contains the operating system you will be asked if you wish to schedule the action at the next reboot. Agree and reboot.
