    Hello

An existing IT guy has setup SBS2003 and configured the smtp and pop3 connectors. I gather the smtp is to send email and the pop3 to receive pop3 emails. However, it looks like the client has a registered domain name and static IP address, so i'm a little puzzled as to why the pop3 connector has been setup?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Jeff

Find out if some external host is actually hosting their e-mail. look up the mX record in DNS
