I have SBS 2003 Standard and I have been reading up about some problems that sqlservr.exe using lots of memory up such as those mentioned here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;321363

On my Task Manager I have 2 listings of sqlservr.exe

    The first instance uses: 461,440K
    The Second instance uses: 47,007K

I am not too sure what this program is actually doing, I assume that Sharepoint is using it, as I do not have any database installed on my server.

I am looking for advice whether I should just leave sqlservr.exe as it is or limit the memory it uses. So far I have not had any warning about being low on memory.

Any advice is a great help, Thanks

SQL is a pig when it comes to resources. If you don't think you need it, should consider stopping it from starting..

I am using sharepoint services for Remote Workplace and the Company Web Site features so I assume that I would need to keep SQL running but set a max limit for memory usage?

sqlserv.exe is now using 800MB of memory. Know the command to set the max limit of memory to use, but wondering what the best size to set sqlserv.exe for MSSQL$SBSMONITORING is on a 2GB system. I have set it at 150MB but if anyone thinks this is too low/high, i can change it.
