SB Live Value Card Hookp

I have a Sound Blaster Live Value Card. A CD ROM and a CD RW are on my system. The CD ROM is hooked up to the "CD IN" on the SB Live Card and the CD RW is hooked up to the "AUX IN" on the SB Live Card. (Both using the 4 pin connector)

AUDIO CD's can be heard on the CD ROM ONLY. I should be able to hear AUDIO CD's when played on my CD RW with this hookup?
What's wrong here?

P.S. I tried switching the wires (audio cables) from CD ROM to CD RW and both work fine when connected to the "CD IN" but not when connected to the "AUX IN" so the wires are not a problem.

 

Check the properties of the mixer and make sure the AUX IN is enabled.
