somethings wrong with my windows media player.

I have to turn the brightness up everytime I want to watch something otherwise everything is a kinda purple colour.

Will this be to do with my media player or the version of graphics card etc? or is there a way to save colour settings on media player?

    cheers.

Edit: I am having to put the 'Hue' level to the top if it makes any difference.

The visual settings seem to return to default between sessions. Check your Display Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button. There may be brightness and other controls for the video card, including for the overlay window of the player. These settings will stay put.

Almost all cards have these settings if you use the manufacturer's driver.

    You're welcome.

I still have to make fine adjustments once in a while, but at least not every, single time ;) .
