    Hi
I am trying to save an Ebay page for offline viewing later. I used to be able to do this but now I am told that the web page cannot be saved. It is not my PC as I have tried this on 3 PC's. Is there a solution to this?

    Thanks. :)

    Hello Gill,

In the drop down menu for Save as type, will it save as .mht or .txt?

I'm assuming you're trying to save as .htm .html

It won't save as a MHT and I don't want txt as I need to save the pictures as well - it's very annoying as I used to do File Save As and save what I wanted on this site. :)

I do File Save As then after about 80%, I get an error message which says, "The Web Page Could Not Be Saved ".

Ok, understand that you don't want to save as .txt. Asked mainly for diagnostic purposes, to see whether it errors as a .txt file.

A possibility is the site itself won't allow you to save the pictures and/or something else contained in html web page.
    Example: http://forums.devshed.com/security-...his-website-could-not-be-saved-why-13709.html

MS KB article on this problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/235589

http://forums.devshed.com/security-...his-website-could-not-be-saved-why-13709.html and another reason: IE settings get in the way of downloading from a particular site.

    Regards - Charles
