I don't know if that problem was already posted.
I'm interested to save some messages individually. So, for example, I receive a message whose text I wish to see on another computer, but with Outlook Express.

Is there a posibility for this?

    Tia,

You can open the message and go to file, save as. This will let you save the message with an .eml extension. This is an OE mail message file. You can copy that file to a floppy or cd and open it in OE on another computer, or you can just forward the message to the other computer in OE. You can also select the text in the message and copy it, then open a word processor like word, notepad, wordpad and paste the text into the document and save that as a file.

Are you asking about Outlook Express email messages?

Could always forward the message. Or you can drag it to your desktop or any pc on your network..

Tools, accounts, mail tab, highlight, properties. Click on advanced. Put a checkmark in "leave copy on server ".

If you're checking your mail on two different computers/locations. This option allows both computers to get the mail.

    Thanks, friends!

Maybe I was not enough clear.
I know how to save individually ONE message. What I need is to save all messages in a folder as .eml files, that I restore on another computer.

For example, I catched many of the messages in a programming forum into a folder named, let's say, GREGORY. Now I wish to transfer all the messages of this folder on another computer, not relatod to Internet, where I want to build a document with the bodies of those messages, organized by subjects and chronologically.

That's why I wish to know how to save all the messages in a folder in Outlook Express as files .eml, by ONE command (or, at least, by the same ONE procedure).

If I understand you correctly, you want to take all of the messages out of a folder in OE and copy these to a folder, then copy that folder to a floppy or cd and move that to another computer.
If so, open OE, make the window smaller to you can see your desktop and your OE window. Create a folder on your desktop to store these messages. Then open the folder in OE that contains the messages you want to copy. Go to the edit menu and choose select all. Then right click on the selection and drag that selection to the folder on your desktop you created to store the messages. You will get a popup menu when you do this, choose copy here.
You can copy that folder to a cd or floppy and put them in a folder in OE the same way, dragging and dropping.
You can also just select all of the messages in the folder and then choose forward on the toolbar. This should open a new message window with all of the selected messages attached. Then forward that message to the other computer and drag and drop the messages from that one message into any folder you like.

I use a freeware called dBXtract. It'll move the entire contents of any designated OE folder to a folder of your choosing anywhere else in the computer. The messages are saved as .eml files. They open and read like any other e-mail message.

I use Hotmail as my permanent address. Plus I have several Hotmail accounts. All of them are accessed by me through OE. Those messages I deem important enough to save, I copy to my regular OE INBOX.

I use dBXtract to save those messages somewhere else. Most of them are the original messages with picutres of my grandson!
