    saving info before upgrading WIN

Probably simple, but how can I save all email in outlook and all documents easily before upgrading from 98 to XP? I tried saving all of this to disk. The docs work fine, but the emails look like this when opened

    8®Ã¯Å §tãïJ7£ ó¹Ã¯

    Thanks!

Documents and Settings > User Name > Local Settings > Application data > Microsoft > Office > Outlook is the XP path

Copy your Outlook PST and DAT files to removable media and paste them to the final folder, Outlook as listed in above path after your upgrade and install. Let them overwrite whats already in the folder re .dat and .pst

Or - export from Outlook to removable media using something like comma seperated windows and then import them once you've got your installation done and office installed. Not as quick as the first method but either will work just fine.

    ;)
