    Operating with Win 98
    Havings some problem with my virus scan. To fix it requires that I download Alluser.mst and save it in the root of my computer's
    c:\drive. Before I do this I would like someone to confirm with me how to do this. Thanks.

    Is this in reference to Mcafee and the fix as follows:

    Click on the "error VSCPOP" topic...
    http://www.mcafee.com/support/retail/hot_topics.asp#

    *Note,while this is version 7.00 and an error the Alluser.mst is still going to serve the same purpose [setup/install].

    The "step by step" instructions are very specific and broken down. I don't know how much more basic they could be broken down into. Perhaps if you explained in more detail exactly at what point you become confused, I or another can try to explain.

    If the link above is way off base, you'll need to be much more specific in your problem by providing the details and the link to the instructions you were given.

    Saving files in the root

    The web page you indicated was the one I was following but if you refer to the instructions the 1st line of the instructions talks about downloading the particular file into the root. Otherwise the rest of the instructions were fine.

    Right click on the link "ALLUSER.MST "

    Select option "save target as "

    From popup, use the dropdown arrow to the right of the the "Save In" [type in] address field and click on your c:\drive
    Then click the save button [lower right]

    File ALLUSER.MST should now be saved in c:\ ie; c:\ALLUSER.MST

    ==============

    Need any more help just let me know. :D
