I d/led an accelerator that must have messed with my settings. Now when I right-click on a link to d/l something, the "save target as" option isn't allowed. How do I enable it? Thanks!

ps- I checked many different sites and links, so that wasn't the issue...

    I d/led an accelerator

From my experience with that type of program it was the problems. Remove said software fixed the problem.

Plus in my case the accelerator did not speed thing up at bit.

Why do you say IF using IE5 ?

Did you possiblely mean IE5 or higher.

IE6 has the same option. At least I do in Win98.

My fault- I should have mentioned that I uninstalled it and that didn't work. It turned out that it was the content advisor, though. Thanks Kevin!

...because I did know that only IE 5.x had that option...

That is why I asked. Because I do know IE6 in the original Win98 has the repair tool available. I have two machines running 6.0.2600.0000 and they both have the repair tool.

But it may also be a case of the sometimes seemingly un-explainable " I got it U Don't "

In XP I ain't got the faintest idea as I understand ( correctly or incorrectly ) a lot of things are different in XP.

Plus in the original post I see no mention of the version Windows, XP or what ever. If I had seen ME or XP I would not even have replied.

The fixes to problem with IE and what is available in the Control Panel/add/remove for IE may be quite different for the different OS.
