Had to replace my C drive and since then have not been able to
change the graphics from 640 x 480 pixels and 16 colors. I need a driver and can't find one. Any suggestions or advice would be
    greatly appreciated.

What you need is video driver installed. Usually on your Motherboard Disk. If not, then on the web site of your video card manufacturer.

How does one determine what video card one has and who the
manufacturer is. I'm new at this game and don't like opening up
    the computer.

    Walter,

You should have a book or recovery disk for your computer which will tell you what video card you have. Unless you got it second hand.

Go to system information in you accessories>system tools and look for video card under display.

Download this . Get the AIDA Personal exe file and install. When you run it, you can get the video card installed.
