SafegaurdProtect Anyone heard of this?

    XBlock XCleaner found the program SafegaurdProtect on my computer, though I don't recognise it. Don't want to just delete if it's a viable program.
    Anyone know something about it?

    Looks to be a rogue just by all the security vendors offering removal details for it, see this Google search.

    Also listed @ (updated today)hpHosts as an 'FSA' classification, which means the app tries to goad users into purchase usually by producing absurd false\positives.

    Worse yet, look at the company it keeps. As classified by hpHosts, not very good at all.


    I'd remove it immediately.
