In trying to fix a minor problem I started the computer in Safe Mode. Now I can't get out of the Safe mode. Also, as a result of of this action I can't get on the internet and am sending this with my daughters computer. First can someone help me to get off the Safe Mode?

Did you try typing msconfig.exe in the start menu search box. If you tried that then try Click on the orb Go to All Programs\Accessories\Command Prompt. right click command prompt click Run As Administrator. Once in command prompt type in msconfig.exe click enter chose Boot then normal start up click Apply and Ok.

SpywareDr and lj50, ........... All is well and my computer is back to normal, including the internet.

Doc: Pulling the plug didn't work. See below.

lj50: I had been to the msconfig site previously but was concentrating on the Startup tab. While staring at the display I decided to move from the Selective Startup under the General Tab, where my system had been set, to Normal Startup. For a reason that only you experts might know (since after clicking Apply the Normal cleared and the Selective had its dot replaced. In any case, the next time I started my computer, everytihng is back to normal.

Thank you both for taking the time to help me. Maybe now I'll stay away from Safe Mode.
