Safe Mode Hangs on Mup.exe

    When I try to restart in Safe Mode, it hangs on the Mup.exe driver. I did a search for it but the search returned not found.
    Please help me resolve this problem. :confused:

    Do you let it sit there for at least five minutes to see if it'll go beyond the one file?

    There is no such file as mup.exe - I think you mean mup.sys as Steve posted you may need to wait a while to see if it boots up in Safe Mode.

    mup.sys is the last driver to be loaded and is not necessarily the culprit.

    FYI mup.sys is the MS Multiple UNC driver for the network.
