    hi there all,
could anyone tell me what the problem is here.
Running Windows 98 SE and MS Office 2000 most times 4 - 5 minutes after closing MS Outlook I get a Runtime Error message
    Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Outlook.exe
    abnormal program termination.

It all seems normal I click OK and it goes, but why does it happen and is there a way to fix it.
    thanks

Is this the full error message or is there more?

Does this only happen after you've performed certain tasks within Outlook?

    hi brett,
no that is all the message there is, but the strange thing is it does not happen every time I use Outlook and usually only to read email.
Strangeley though since I fixed that setupx.exe it has not happened, not yet anyway.
But if you have any idears please let me know.

I was hoping that you might be able to provide a few more pointers because, as things stand, I really have no idea as to what is causing this problem!

I doubt whether the setupx.dll problem was/is related ... but you never know ... so fingers crossed!!!

    hi brett,
no not so lucky it happened again.
Don't know if this helps any, on top of the error message reads:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
apart from that nothing else none of the long numbers you get with some other error messages.

I'm afraid I have no answer

Maybe you could try one of the MS NG's?
