    Hi.

I have both WinME and XPpro for different reasons. Sometimes i would find it useful to use some of the same programs in both operating systems without installing them two times or resarting my machine. For example adobe premiere or winrar or getright just to mention some. Is this possible?

    Welcome to WindowsBBS. :)

If it's a *stand alone* program or application then it should be fine, but, as the ones in your example, which are integrated into the O/S, won't share properly. :)

Unless you can find a list, trial and error should keep you busy. HTH :)

    I agree with luqa

I had problems when trying to run the same program from both systems when I had 95b & 98.

My standalone Eudora e-mail along with some standalone DOS software was about the only programs that I could share between the two OS with no problems.

I would expect to see more problems when using ME and XP.

95b & 98 are close to the same OS. But ME and XP are quite different.

I would suggest keeping ME programs on one Partition and XP programs on another. That is what I wound up doing and things went much smoother.
