    Hi,

    I am setting up a new firewall on my XP systems and not being to familiar with all the services I was wondering what services are absolutley nessecary and what can be blocked from the net and to what extent can I make rules for the services needed?

    For a list of all services running and recommendations on which to disable, see Black Viper's site.

    To look up pretty much anything that may show up in Task Manager>Processes tab, the Answers That Work site has a comprehensive, alphabetized list.
