    Hello everyone.
I have a very interesting question that I am very confused about. If I right click a program, (whether its a Windows component, a game or any exe file) and then I go to properties, I notice that there are 2 run as administrator options. There is one option under the shortcut tab advanced properties, and there is another option under the compatibility tab. What is the difference between the 2 run as administrator options. Are their any differences if I were to check both options or 1 or the other? Based on those options would there be any negative effects on a program that I would be applying those 2 options to? I am really confused about these 2 options. Any insight on what the differences between the 2 options would be great. :)

I doubt there's a difference, but I've never read anything about it, so I could be wrong.

Hi Arie. One thing I do notice however is if I were to open command prompt I could right click it and choose run as administrator. If I go to properties and go to the shortcut tab then click advanced then click the option to run command prompt as an administrator then click apply and ok. Upon doing that I could just left click the command prompt shortcut and it would automatically open with administrator permissions without me having to do the right click method as I explained above. So that option would be useful if you don't want to have to right click and choose run as administrator on a program every time. You could just tick that option and you just left click the program and it would always run as an administrator. You can try it yourself and see what you think. :)
