Once I press start -> shut down I get a message telling me that RunDLL32 is not repsonding, so before I can shutdown I have to wait for the box to appear telling me that it isnt responding, then I have to click End Now before I can shut down.

Has anyone any ideas as to what could be causing this? Its only started happening over the past few days. I have all criticals installed except 811493, cos its garbage. Running XP Home if its any difference as well.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you.

Have you cleaned up temps agressively?

Have you ran a "FULL" up to date virus scan?

Full up to date SpyBot, HiJackThis?

Do you need help with any of these?

Thanx for the replies. I deleted my Temporary Internet Files and have started the computer up and shut down a few times and it seems to be fine for the minute.

    *Touches wood.

    Thanx guys. :)
