If it does not happen a lot, just reboot. Windows has had a hiccup and needs to reload the system.

If it happens a lot, post back with some of the ocassions it happens.

From your post it seems to have happened only once.

    Invalid page faults

It happened frequently, so I formated the C drive and started over to install Win98SE.
    Gigabyte motherboard GA-5AX, ALI chipset M1541, CPU IBM/Cyrix 6x86 MX PR300. 64MB of 168 pin SIMM
It was running Win98 with SP1 just fine, son wanted something added that would work only with Win98SE. Loaded it after format of C and started getting numerous error messages as I added drivers etc.
Format C again and load Win98SE from CD. Loaded fine then about half way thru the "Win 98 updating system settings" I got the following in sequence every few seconds until it finished and tried to restart.

Closed that error and finished startup okay. I continue to get errors like this when taking some actions. In system information I ran the routine to scan system files for problems and had one correction from the CD forSHELL32.DLL.

    Any good ideas?
