    Hello,
This is my config : Win XP SP2 on 2 PCs. PC1 is connected to my ISP using the TV Cable and all is OK.
PC2 is (for the moment) a stand alone PC.
I want to link these 2 PCs so that I have a TCPIP or IPX link between them ,so that I can do Folder/File sharing and use the http://www.wideview.it/faq.htm#7 as explained in the above.
PC2 DOES NOT need access to Internet .
What HWR do I need? How to install the link?
    Thanks in advance.

Several methods of creating the network you need:
    1. peer to peer network:
    network card on each comp
    crossover cable connected to each

    2. hub or switch:
    net card on each comp
straight though (patch type) cable connected from each pc to hub or switch

    3. router w/ built in switch:
    net card on each comp
straight though (patch type) cable connected from each pc to router

#3 would be the best method for you because #1 & #2 would require an additional network card in the comp that uses the internet, assuming that your cable modem connects to the pc's existing network card.

    See these MS references:
