I am trying to transfer audio tracks from vinyl LPs to CD using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5. Using the LP and Tape Assistant and following the instructions provided in the "Record Setup" diagrams, I have connected my turntable and receiver to the computer. However, when I press the "Record Tracks" button, the LP & Tape Assistant window closes. Normally, the window simply shuts down, but on one attempt, I got the following error message: Analog to Digital_TA.exe. Application error. The instruction at "0x1000864b" referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be "written." Does anyone use this program who has encountered or solved this problem? I'm also waiting for a reply from Roxio support, but this forum is usually an extremely helpful resource. Thank you for any help.

Just so no one wastes any time or effort on my behalf, I received a solution to this problem from Roxio Support which worked. If anyone is interested, I will happily provide the information.

    More than happy to, Zander...

The following directions are from Roxio's Technical Support.

Close all programs, then Start > Run > regedit > OK. Click File > Export. For filename, type roxiobackup, For Export Range, click All. Click Save. Then, click + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER; click + next to Software; click Roxio folder: Right-click LPAndTapeAssistant. Click Delete > Yes. Close the Registry Editor, Then launch LP and Tape Assistant.

I hope this helps someone else!
