Roxio can not detect MATSHITADVD driver

In my laptop vostro 1510, OS: XP.

My roxio (sonic) writer can not burn cd. The driver is MATSHITADVD-875S.
It is not even detecting the driver though the driver is reading or writing cd/dvd. The roxio is paid version
I installed nero, it can write data cd but as it is free version it is not writing vcd/dvd in MATSHITADVD.

Anyone can help me!!

 

Remove the DVD drive from Device Manager & reboot. Let Windows find it & install it. Check then if Roxio finds it or not.

Does Roxio detects it when you are logged in as Administrator ?

 

Yes. It can write data file can make audio cd or dvd only it can not make VCD, that option tab is not there at the home page..

 

Is your query about making VCD or that Roxio can't find the drive ?

 

i am extremely sorry for that, first roxio could not detect drive. After un installing rhe driver and rebooting the pc, it can detect driver but CAN NOT WRITE VCD. i inserted the cd again and chosed custom installation and found that "dvd and video" option is not there. My roxio is "easy media creator 9" Is it s/w version problem or anything else?

 

I don't think its Roxio's problem.

Log in as Administrator, Uninstall Roxio, reboot & install again. I think that should do it.
