On a recent trip to visit relative, I visited three relatives who had WiFi in their home who didn't know the security code to connect to their signal. When I asked what it was, none of them knew what I was talking about. In all three cases, I reset the router, set it back up for them and taped the code to the bottom of the router. All three had a laptop connected wirelessly. Where does Win7 keep that information so it doesn't asked for it on subsequent log ins? That would have saved me some time, if I knew where to look.

All windows operating store it in the registry.
Use this free too to see the passkeys of any wlan a comp was connected to in the past. I use it is similar circumstances such as yours. I just run the program on the relatives comp to find out the passkey.

Sorry for the delay, but that works well.
