I was about to order an Apple Airport Express for our new iPhones and iPad
and noticed that it seems to need a UTP Cat5 cable. My cable modem only
has a USB 2.0 port. Do I need to get a new modem from my cable provider?

Never mind! I sussed it out. :p

Hi Reilly. If your cable modem does not have an ethernet port for connecting an ethernet cable from the modem to the router then yes I think you should get your modem replaced.

How old is the modem? All new routers use ethernet cables to connect to devices and to the modem. I have not seen modems use a USB cable to connect to routers.
