Ok, I've just installed XP Home full on a duel boot system. I still like 98SE, but need to move on with stuff and try XP out. Well, I've been able to figure alot out, but what I cant figure out is when I RIGHT click on START, and then OPEN, I dont see the folders/files that I see when I LEFT click start. When I right click start, Open All Users, I see folders Ive made, but not some of the start files. Why 2 "Open" options?? I like to adjust my start menu, put my own folders in (Apps, Art, Web Tools,) and so on. I dont like programs making thier own folders in the "Programs" folder. That gets too big and messy for me. How can I get this to act like 98, if its possible, so I can see all what I put there with out having to do both of the Open options?

    Did I make sense?

The short answer is you can't without a little imput on your part. WinXP is a different critter from 9x. It's geared towards multiple users where 9x isn't, or at least not like XP is. Anything that's in the all users folder can be seen in any users start menu. Anything that's in right click>open is in your own personal folder and nobody else sees it in their start menu unless you copy it to the all users folder. If you pay attention when you install programs, some (but not all) will ask if you want to make the program available to all users. If you choose yes, shortcuts to the program will be copied to the all users \start menu folder. If you choose no they'll only appear in your start menu.

So, unless somebody else knows something I don't, the only way I know of to get them to appear together when you right click on the start menu is to copy them all from one folder to the other (take your pick). Sorry. Stick with it a while and you'll get used to it.
